WB Chris Hodapp coming to Detroit

I've made this post on another forum, but this should also be mentioned here...

Bros, I'm happy to announce that WB Chris Hodapp will be giving a lecture at the Detroit Masonic Temple on June 14, 2008 at 1:00pm. He is speaking on behalf of Austin Lodge #48, as a fundraiser to gather funds for Lodge improvements. Should be an excellent time, and I am looking forward to the event.

I've been in touch with the coordinator, who has been happy to provide me with tickets to the event, so if you are interested, they are $12. There will likely be mobs of adoring Masonic fanboys around CH, and in the event that his evening is already planned, I will be putting together something at my place (a leisurely 20 minute drive from downtown)...perhaps a cookout (no hotdogs), cigars, beverages, etc. Details for that event will be fleshed out as the time nears and interest is generated.

Hotels...Numerous, some crappy, some scary, some elegant (we've got a Ritz here, big roller).

I've potentially got two Canadians staying at La Casa De Los Jamones, but there is other assorted floor space if you're interested in economizing, roughing it, and sharing in a cookout after the lecture. PM me if interested...and let me know if you want me to reserve you a ticket.

While I'm in the same city as Brother Hodapp and know him, I've actually yet to be anywhere where he has actually presented! I would love to come up and see the Detroit Temple and hear Chris, but I have another commitment that day. There may be some brethren from Indianapolis coming that day. There's been some talk on Hiram's forum of a bus trip.
