Formatting issues

I was perusing one of Bro Dave's lessons in the EA forum and noticed that what I assume were quotation marks were getting replaced by â€. I've also noticed a lot of :p:p:p's showing up in people's posts. Is there a bug that's causing this?

yup...long standing bug...if you copy and paste from Word or something the formatting doesn't quite match up...the easiest thing to do is turn off smilies, cut and paste, then do preview post and edit out the things it screws up....

Some of those errors came from the transfer of our data to a new server several months ago as well....
