I use MS word to spell check my English, as it is not my first language.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

When I then copy/paste I get signs and some “office” signs. Are there a check mark that I have missed, or should I just use “Edit” and change it.

I will leave the signs

I edit them mostly....but I am using a spell check program that plugs into this software and allows me to spell check inside all kinds of windows...

I will say this to all of our non English speaking Brothers. I only Wish I had the command of language that you exemplify:notworthy:
I studied Spanish in College and since have used it little. I would be embarrassed to venture onto a Spanish speaking board and post.
My cousins ex-husband was Greek and spoke in 4 languages and wrote in three of them. He was taught them from elementary school on.
If only Americans were taught that the world might view us differently. But than again traveling from one end of this country to the other one might wonder if we are one people separated by a common language:rolf: ( for those non-americans, we tend to have vast dialectic changes in American English)

Dear Bro. Rorbak,
I use MS word to spell check my English, ...
How?
What do you mean using the word "spell check"? Translation or Ortography?
PS. My english is quite passive, too. Reading or hearing and understanding is no problem at all, but for writing or speaking there are no many ocassions these days for me. (TSS is one of them.) So I too many times have to look up a dictionary.

@ Brother Thomas, I change the dictionary in Microsoft Word from Danish to English. And now for short messages, after the help from Brother Jim, I type in the message box, then right click and choose "Check spelling"
@ WB Dan, Thank you, you are all our teachers.

If you use Fire Fox, it has that option (spell check) built in, all you have to do is select it in the "options" menu.
There are also Language translation add-on s that you can install.
I have to use one at my work for some of the machinery that we have.
