Well I have had to change a few users passwords on website accounts... They had their password set as "Password1"... And then they wondered why they got hacked. That #1 in the password was true security. From now on I'm using the password... HiramAbiff... Darn Can't use that one either. Just put it in a forum.
Anyone getting Bruteforce attacks at the lodge room? You know guys that keep coming back and trying new passwords at random till they guess the right one? Why is it that people try to access random websites to modify the index yet no attempts are made at the lodge? Thoughts? Especially when various books actually publish the modes of entry. Or have you had experience of someone trying to gain entry? Please share...

Funny thing is, the U.S nuclear launch unlock code was 00000000 during a great majority of the cold war. This has recently been declassified.
![]() http://www.cdi.org/blair/permissive-action-links.cfm The Strategic Air Command (SAC) in Omaha quietly decided to set the “locks” to all zeros in order to circumvent this safeguard. During the early to mid-1970s, during my stint as a Minuteman launch officer, they still had not been changed. Our launch checklist in fact instructed us, the firing crew, to double-check the locking panel in our underground launch bunker to ensure that no digits other than zero had been inadvertently dialed into the panel. SAC remained far less concerned about unauthorized launches than about the potential of these safeguards to interfere with the implementation of wartime launch orders. And so the “secret unlock code” during the height of the nuclear crises of the Cold War remained constant at OOOOOOOO.

That was the destruct code for the Starship Enterprise, too. "Code Zero-Zero-Zero, destruct, Zero."

I was in the middle of an email to a TSS Admin when I saw this thread. I received it as well. What initially raised a red flag was the name attacked to the message saying I had a PM. "LadyAdministrator"
![]() The actual PM was from aesop.tech. Luckily, I live by the rule of not clicking on a link in an email/message unless I know who it is from. Only took one time feeling that pain to learn.

I remember seeing this and getting a chuckle from it. Problem is, the unlock codes only had 6 digits and not 8. At least, that is the case on the Titan II Missile system. The only reason I remember that is because one of my duties was to test the BVLC each alert by entering a test code. One of my favorite all-time test codes was "SACSUX." I have the feeling that what they mean to say was that OOOOOO was the code they used in the simulator for training purposes. The launch codes were encoded, but they always decoded to OOOOOO. By the way, those are Ohs and not Zeros, and in OOOOOOOOOOOh crap, we are going to nuke someone!
Nuke em till they glow. Pound em in the ground and use their a-holes for runway lights! Quote:
